EARLSFORT TERRACE, situated in the financial district of Dublin, opposite the National Concert Hall, was designed by the architect Robert Townshend to be a place of tranquility that people could enjoy. To achieve this very high quality, natural materials have been used, which, combined with the innovative design of the fountain, emanate a peaceful atmosphere in the square. Cenia Stone in both beige and blue has been combined to enhance the qualities of the stone to great effect. Machinery using the latest technology to get the perfect cut and finish has been employed in the paving and is an integral part of the design of the fountain.
